The PNG format holds a transparency and does not have a white box around it.
Saving this format over and over doesn't degrade its quality at all.
Please check if your graphic program supports this format.
The JPG format is more standard and widely accepted.
Graphics are surrounded with white background and not transparent.
Over time jpg images tend to loose their clarity and sharpness.
Almost any program can handle this type of graphic.
The WMF format WMF or Windows Metafile, is a Microsoft
Windows image file format. WMF file will print perfectly
crisp and clear at any size. These files work on
Windows in different programs like MS Word,
Corel, Print Shop, Print Artist, Print Master.
(But not in Paint Shop Pro!!)
